Timothy S. Wilhelm is a shareholder with the firm concentrating primarily on municipal, zoning and land use law and litigation. He is currently the City Attorney for the City of South Lyon and assists in providing general counsel services to Green Oak Charter Township. Timothy's experience includes advising municipal entities on general municipal issues such as ordinances, land use agreements, ordinance and code enforcement, contracts and agreements, water and sewer issues, First Amendment issues, the Freedom of Information Act, and the Open Meetings Act.
Timothy has also handled all types of litigation with an emphasis on representing local governmental entities, including cases involving land use and zoning disputes, civil rights, RLUIPA, billboard signs and the First Amendment, and environmental regulations. His experience also includes handling real estate and business transactions and commercial litigation.
Prior to relocating to Michigan, Timothy practiced at a boutique firm in the Chicago Metro area that concentrated on eminent domain law and served as special condemnation counsel for various governmental entities in the Chicago area, including the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District, the Village of Lemont, and the McHenry County Conservation District.
