Booth v. Orion Township

USDC No. 18-13739. Plaintiff was a contracted Mechanical Inspector for the Orion Township Building Department. When his contract was not renewed, Plaintiff sued in federal court alleging race based discrimination and retaliation for complaining of discrimination. Plaintiff, who alleged that he was Mexican, alleged that the Township acted with discriminatory animus when not renewing his contract. After extensive discovery and a Motion for Summary Judgment which was prepared and argued by Laura Amtsbuechler of RSJA, the Court dismissed Plaintiff’s claims in their entirety.
