Andrew J. Brege
Andrew J. Brege is a shareholder in the Lansing office. He focuses his practice on municipal law, municipal liability and civil rights defense. Andy has represented municipalities, governmental agencies, and private businesses across the state on employment matters, law enforcement liability, civil rights, and other liability concerns. He also frequently appears on behalf of clients in administrative tribunals, such as the EEOC, Michigan Department of Civil Rights, and in Medicaid Fair Hearing proceedings. He is admitted to all state and federal courts in the State of Michigan. In 2011, he served as the principle editor for the Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority’s Open Meetings Act Handbook, as well as its more recent updates. He is a frequent presenter around the state on the Open Meetings Act, Freedom of Information Act, and topics related to civil liability for law enforcement.
