Three shareholders in the firm have authored chapters in the latest edition of the Michigan Municipal Law book that was published in May 2012 by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education. Carol A. Rosati authored the chapter on "Liability of Local Government and Local Officials." Thomas R. Schultz authored chapter on "Limitations on Local Government Under Federal Constitution and Laws." Steven P. Joppich authored the section "Power to Formulate Local Policy." The Michigan Municipal Law book is a comprehensive guide to municipal law in Michigan.
MMRMA Training Workshop: "Sewer Back Ups: A Practical Guide to Public Act 222"
Anne McClorey McLaughlin was a featured speaker at the MMRMA's training workshop, "Sewer Back Ups: A Practical Guide to Public Act 222." The half-day workshop addressed developments in the law at the 10-year anniversary of Public Act 222 of 2001, discussing requirements and handling of sewer backup claims and litigation.
